About us

 Our Story

CSRRI emerged from a collective understanding that meaningful societal change requires sustained civic engagement beyond election cycles. Our founders, a diverse group of passionate Nigerians, recognized the critical need for a structured, nationwide body focused on both voter mobilization (especially among youth) and electoral oversight. We are not just observers; we are reformers working within the democratic space.

Election Monitoring & Observation (EMO)

CSRRI is transitioning into a major force for electoral integrity, operating a robust, parallel monitoring system for both tiers of government.

Local Government Election Monitoring

This is a crucial new focus. We partner with State Independent Electoral Commissions (SIECs) to deploy observers to Ward and LGA collation centers, ensuring transparency at the most basic level of governance.

National Election Observation

Working with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other relevant agencies, our goal is to cover a statistically significant number of polling units nationwide.

The ‘Step In & Step Up’Volunteer Network:

We recruit, vet, and rigorously train capable citizens to act as accredited observers. Training covers the legal framework, code of conduct, and specialized reporting methodology.

Real-Time Data Collection

Utilizing secure mobile technology for instant, verified reporting of election-day incidents, from polling unit opening times to the accreditation process and final results collation.
